Rejection experiences

2016-06-19
The number of researchers participating in SciRev keeps growing. There are already over 3000 peer review experiences available at our website that can be used to compare the performance of journals.

We are very happy with this achievement. However, we observe an over-representation of reviews of accepted papers. Given that over half of journal submissions ends in a rejection, this might give a somewhat distorted view of reality.

To paint a more realistic picture, we invite you to share one or more rejection experiences at SciRev.

You can do so at www.scirev.sc by searching for the journal and clicking on the green “submit review†button. The only information you need are the dates of (re)submission and of the editor's decision(s).

By sharing our experiences, we can help each other find an effective journal to publish our work.

Kind regards,
Janine Huisman & Jeroen Smits
